In the June edition of the German trade magazine Molkerei industry, extensive attention is paid to the turnkey project of Fonterra, ALPMA and JES. In order to process whey from the new Mozzarella production at Royal Aware in Heerenveen, the Netherlands, Fonterra’s European factory, which is located right next to the Royal Aware cheese factory, had to increase capacity. With a € 10 million investment, a new building was built on top of the existing production by Jorritsma. This building now houses a membrane filtration installation supplied by ALPMA.
This project included not only the RO system, but also the automation, for which long-term partner Beenen was commissioned as a subcontractor, and a complete CIP solution.
